I really appreciated this book. It was readable however full of fantastic information. Plenty of fairly pictures broke up the textual content and kept me going, and there have been plenty of well-done graphics to explain ideas that had been a bit heady. This text has an emphasis on evolution because the cornerstone of Biology, which was very informative and helpful. In addition, the entry code allowed me entry to the research tools on the McGraw-Hill website, which I discovered very helpful. There is no such thing as a need to buy a research guide to go along with this textual content, as the entire solutions are included within the back. I feel it's assumed that one will follow on the positioning rather than out of the text, although frankly I found the subject matter straightforward sufficient to absorb with good notes from my class, studying the chapter, and reviewing the data my instructor emphasized. The graphics were nice to attract with a view to help sophisticated ideas like mobile respiration really sink in and be understood. I extremely advocate this text, and plan on maintaining my copy for my very own private reference.

If you need a thorough introduction on Biology, I highly advocate this textbook. Very thorough and simple to understand.

It has amazing graphics, and I truly purchased it used from a seller. I wrote to him to pick a textbook with no highlighting, and that is exactly what I obtained!
